We had a wonderful full day on the island as part of a honeymoon..! Very instructive audio accompaniment and well worth the 'couple of bucks' to get a full insight of what the island was, and became.
Cafe was excellent and provided good tucker... and a cool beer on a scorching day..
One small word of advice, is that we went in spring (October) and the gulls were nesting just below the Biloela Lawn. They are VERY territorial and WILL dive bomb you if you wander through this part of the island....
All in all, a great piece of (possibly overlooked) Aussie history. Recommended.
