I hate waiting but when I showed up this morning for a green slip they said they would send me an SMS when I was ready to be seen so I could go shopping 😮 I didn't ask, it was just offered , wow 21st century technology lol maybe there is hope for the human race 😂

Life saver!
My car stopped working Saturday 13th of February in the middle of the road roughly 20km from home.
I call GIO as I thought I had roadside assistance but they tell me I don't have it and therefore they couldn't help me.
Being after 12:00 on a Saturday all nearby garage were close already so I start googling to see my options and I found NRMA reviews from other drivers.
I give them a call and they told me that as I was not a member they couldn't send anyone but if I subscribe their membership on the spot, they would send someone.
I pay roughly 300$ and after 90 minutes someone shows up and check the car. Unfortunately he as not able to solve but he told me he would call someone to tow the car and roughly after 2 hours he was there (ok, I had to wait 4 hours but the alternative was to leave the car there).
The NRMA office was close at that point so I call them on Monday and I explain what happened. It ended up being a big job (roughly 6k) but they have been nothing but informative giving me status on daily basis and giving me options.

wonderful service from the staff, they were very helpful while i sorted out the insurance on three cars the price was very competative and they also assisted with home insurance
