My first experience will be my last; never coming back again.
My friend and I had a couple of drinks and weren't even tipsy. We just love to dance and were hanging out in a little corner close to a big chair. My friend left to grab water and came back with the security guard telling us to leave. My friend and I asked why and he mumbled something, and just kept pushing us out to leave. If anything, we noticed that the guard seemed to be on something. We don't think he looked that way but he seemed drunk.
Other cons: dj (at the rnb room) was playing okay songs and at one point we actually enjoyed ourselves. He then started mixing up some weird stuff and there were a couple more awkward transitions. Also, they don't have a cloak room.

Had a really unfortunate experience at World Bar during my first time out. It's sad that I know I won't be returning after just one visit here. As a nonviolent, calm female of legal age, I figured that I would be able to have a civil, mutually respectful conversation with the security staff and even manager on duty regarding the issue in question that was raised by a random member of the security staff. Instead I was treated like a child. I was shown zero respect and when trying to explain the situation that caused a terrible misunderstanding, I was hardly listened to. Really poor customer service and treatment from staff all around - bartenders, security, managers, whatever other positions there are. Don't waste your time at a venue that does not appreciate your business and willingness to communicate in a calm and collected manner at the outset of any problem.

Had some fun times at World Bar, but lost all my respect for the joint when my friend was tackled to the ground, put in a headlock only to be taunted by the security guards and publicly humiliated. Im under the impression that world bar changed their security employment. Because for the past two years before this incident me and my friends never had an issue with security, to be honest the security was actually pretty good in my experience. I understand that security guards at clubs have a tough job sometimes, but in this scenario, it was wrong. Ive lost faith in the fun and safe clubbing experience that world bar used to promote and if I could just blame the security I would, but it seems that the management of world bar don't care about the safety of their patrons either. World bar is not what it used to be, and me and a large portion of my friends will never ever go back.

The staff at World Bar are friendly and down-to-earth, and are able to keep up with what can become one of the busiest clubs in Sydney. The atmosphere is whatever you want it to be, as there is something here for everyone. If you come early, it's quiet with some great ambient tunes and a very high quality feed for a perfectly reasonable price

Do not go if you want to go if you want to have a good time with your friends. This was the second time I was at world bar at didn't not have a good time. The dance floor was very small, the bartenders do not care about you. As well as the bouncers. This was the first club Went to and I'm very disappointed about the results. Very unfriendly hosts, did not like the menu and was not indulging at all. I would second to spend that extra money on local food or scary canary. I can't enforceme how bad my experience was there.! Do not GO HERE it's TERRIBLE! Better off spending your money on Ivy!
