I wish there was an option for negative star/feedback. The flavour is average but TOO overpriced, absolutely rip-off... No matter how "authentic" it claims to be. We spent $93 plus credit card surcharge, and still felt not even half full. This is more than double or even triple the cost compared to any other Chinese / Asian restaurant on the same street.

It started with very BAD customer services. The waiter will ask you to wait outside no matter how early you arrive, until every single person from your group presents, even when there are plenty empty tables in the restaurant. If you are feeling tired, they won't even let you sit down outside the shop on the public chairs, as these street chairs are also assigned by their own rules!!! Basically, they want as many people standing outside as possible, to create the "busy and popular" impression. While you are in the queue, the employee will try her best not to let you see the menu, as there isn't much on there.

The main price is by weight of the number of sticks but there is barely anything on the stick and it’s about 80c per stick. The owner keeps replying with "Serving small portions of sliced meats on skewers are one of the most authentic Sichuan street food". Unfortunately they miss the elephant here. People complained about the MINI portion because they are 80c per stick. Surely more customers would have been happier if it cost 8 cents per stick. No one in Sichuan would charge 80c = RMB 4 Yuan per stick, if you have a chance to visit Sichuan!

If you are ready to be forced to stand outside for quite a while, and pay for a super expensive "authentic" “appetizer” then just go ahead. Otherwise there are plenty restaurants in Burwood with good taste, reasonable price and friendly service. Some even with indoor waiting area with nice tables and comfortable seats. Not to mention our $88 Groupon for two in The Little Snail French restaurant, which includes three-course meal with wine. Spend your money wisely.

The food is delicious with very fresh vegetables and premium quality meat. Although it's a new restaurant, success is evident via continued long queues day in day out. We went there a few times over the past month and certainty enjoyed the food very much. Highly recommended especially to those who loves authentic Sichuan food.

Hot pot with skewers? At first I thought it was for people who can't use chopsticks to get their meat out of the soup, but then I got the lowdown from my helpful Chinese-foodie friend that it's a Sichuan thing! Hell, this I gotta see.

Good thing i liked about is that I got to pick the types of meat that I was familiar with without my friends having to worry if I'd be okay to have chicken feet - 😨. I went to town on the quail eggs and when it came to tallying up the amount of skewers (150 skewers between four people) it worked out to be the same as any other hot pot restaurants that I've been dragged to - except I got to eat what I wanted.🖒

Would recommend this place for people looking to try out spicy Sichuan food with a small group of friends. Definitely be going there soon!

Most authentic and yummy hotpot I had in Sydney. The staffs were super friendly and helpful to my 1 year old boy. Great food, fantastic service and baby friendly! Highly recommend!

Over priced hot pot with skewers!! Maybe it's gimmicky... each skewer cost 80cents. There is one morsel of meat on each skewer and even worse, it is the same for the vegetables - you can select to eat one branch of cauliflower for 80cents. Pretty sure I can buy a whole kilo of them for $2.50. Just insane prices! What's more, one of the skewers is just one slice of pure chicken skin and there was another with the tip of the chicken wing (the part most people usually discard) - also 80cents per skewer... who would eat this!! Had to fill myself up with 2 small plates of noodles ($5 something each ). Not sure why there's a line - definitely first and last time!!
