This is a marvellous park, very close to Perth city centre, with beautiful gardens featuring local native plants and trees from WA and wider Australia. It has winding footpaths through all the different areas, with clearly labelled plants and explanation boards. One boundary affords wonderful views of Perth and the River Swan.
It has a cafe and restaurant, and a free bus links it to the city.

Mind blowing lush green spaces and rich botanic garden, with amazing views of the water and city. Different walking paths from flat to steep, suitable for all abilities. So much grass kept perfectly soft for walking or laying on.
AVOID the insane prices at the kiosk and Aspects store. Bring a picnic, find the water fountains, and take photographs.

Truly wonderful gardens. Great view of the river and Perth skyline. Interesting gift shop which is on the pricy side. Different sectors highlight the vegetation of WA in a natural way. Truly beautiful and worth at least half a day. Bring a picnic to extend the experience. Ample parking and personal facilities.

Definitely a must visit. The botanic garden is beautifully landscaped with wide open spaces and rolling greens. There is a divine gift shop there that is well designed. The stocks they carry are divine. Had to control my spending, pity.

Kings Park is probably best known for the WA Anzac memorial (and others). It has a great deal of bushland filled with native flora and fauna, between each of it's many landscaped park areas. Some of these more tourist focused (near the main entrance and memorials), others more suited to families and children (Synergy Parkland). Overall a lovely place with a good measure of variety.
