I found the staff to have provided the best patient care in their capacity. Their professionalism mixed with a positive customer service really made me feel well appreciated from my time in ward 6G after recovery from surgery. Not all heroes wear capes, especially on a Saturday night when the hospital is choking to capacity. Many thanks for getting me back on my feet again :)

For a public teaching hospital I think RPH is first class. Over the past 12 months my son -in -law and my eldest daughter have both been inpatients with extensive stays in a number of wards. The staff have all been considerate, compassionate and exemplary in their care even when faced with the inevitable problems that, lets be honest, we all face in our jobs. I thank you all for helping to provide us with one of the best hospital systems in the world.
For those who complain I suggest you start making some direct comparisons with hospitals overseas both with the service given and the cost you are asked to, or prepared, to pay.

I had a knee injury and needed a surgery. Everything went well but was bit disappointed with anaesthetist fees. I had 2 surgeries and anaesthetists were different each time. For first surgery, total anaesthetist fees were covered by insurance but for the second one, Anaesthetist BODDU, KRISHNA charged me $996. Out of $996, I got back only $201 for the insurance company. Heard from my insurance company that, "the anaesthetist charged you too much. Please do not use this anaesthetist". Always consult your insurance company before having any kind of treatment in the hospitals.

My son was choppered in as a trauma causality. I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing staff at RPH. They saved my son's life against all odds. Professor Renee Zellweger is the most amazing surgeon and incredible man. His care for his patients is second to none. I will forever be indebted to you. You made miracles happen with your incredible skills and healing hands. You saved my son's life in more ways than one. Thank you more than words can say

I was really nervous about having to spend several hours of a Friday night here but the staff were really nice. The only constructive criticism I have about my treatment is that it would have helped me be more patient if one of the nurses had taken 10 seconds to say something like "It's really good news that you have symptom A and not symptom B as that means it's unlikely your eye will burst but the other person has both symptoms and is very, very ill so we need to put them first".
The person next to me didn't fare so well though as he'd been waiting for an x-ray of his broken hand for a number of hours and nobody had thought to ask him to try and remove the rings on his badly swollen hand and support it a bit on the table that was right next to him (rather than sit it on his lap). It really shouldn't have been up to a random public person with only a little first aid training to identify a potential Danger and suggest an appropriate Response to him.
