I've been a customer at Mien for many years. I always get 5 star treatment. Recently I've seen Emily and I try to book in with her whenever I can, she's very friendly and takes care of my colour whether I need a little extra light for summer months or warmth for winter.

I've been visiting Emily for quite some time now, she always listens and does exactly what I want. All the staff at Mien take good care of me, love the rituals and the aveda tea. I would definitely recommend.

Danny Iglesias used to be my hairdresser in Auckland so when he moved to Australia I was not happy! Ten years on I tracked him down in Melbourne (in a non-stalker manner) and last weekend I had my first 'proper' haircut in ages. Danny's skill in understanding how to cut curly hair is amazing. He listened to me when I took him through some of the tried and tested methods for dealing with my hair (the trying and testing had previously led to lessons in what not to do), and translated that into a hair cut that will do what I need it to do - pretty much look after itself with very little interference from me. I also appreciate his eternal optimism believing that I will do more with my hair than wash it and put some product in it. Sorry Danny but I already have two hair appliances taking up space in the bathroom cupboard - the wand thing would make a third that to be honest I would use once and once only - but I appreciate the way you keep trying! My less than dedicated approach to hair care is why I rely on a good hairdresser; with Danny I have a great hairdresser who can cut and style my hair so that it looks great the day I leave the salon, and looks good for the days that follow. (Yes Danny I know it would look better if I used the hair appliances but my arms get tired). Cushla, Sydney.

Danny is an exceptional hairdresser, and hands down the best cutter I have ever had. I honestly used to feel like I had fairly average/boring hair, but Danny transformed my look and now I get compliments about my hair all the time. I've now been going to Danny for several years and he never fails to keep my hair looking great. He really understands hair and is so talented at knowing what will suit the individual. He's also a friendly guy and goes out of his way to look after his clients. I can't recommend him enough. There is nothing better than having a great hairdresser and great hair! Thanks so much Danny.
