Sorry everyone, this restaurant is now closed. I am a local and visited there 2-3 times per year. Plenty of memory of lovely food at its peak. Won a chefs hat and probably deserved two.
It was sold to new owners about 12-18 months ago. Gave it a go again under new management - once was good (early after sale) but the last visit was below par - service and food. Restaurant was mostly empty. Such a shame that it's finished, but I don't think it was really due to a change of ownership and management.
That end of Fitzroy street was ruined by all the questionable characters from the Gatwick. Shame on the council for not stepping in and doing something sooner. Many restaurants and bars around Sapores are now for lease,

Coffee good. Food took 1 hour to get. Food was very average at best. Toilet facilities were satisfactory. Ramsey please come to sort this disaster out

A pleasant place to have a really nice meal.
Nothing over the top or overpriced about this place. The meals were reasonably priced, with a good selection to choose from. The serving size didn't leave you wanting for more. The most important thing though is they tasted incredibly good! There is a fairly extensive wine list that caters to pretty much all tastes and budgets.
The staff are excellent at their job and very friendly.
One standout to me is that the tables are longer across than wide. So your drinks and sides can easily fit between the dinner plates without the risk of things falling off, or needing to have your plate half off the table.
Whilst the seating is fairly close together, you are still able to have a conversation with your dining companions without raising your voices or feeling like you can hear what everyone nearby is talking about.
I would definitely recommend Sapore to anyone.
