I found it was a little odd to have to give credit card details to book. When we arrived, it was pleasant. Staff were friendly. As time went on though, service wasn't as good - possibly because they were busy. We went for the 'unlimited yumcha' and I can see why people say it is not yum cha - there are no trolleys and the menu is different. Staff just go around table to table, giving one sample-sized serve per customer. There were a good selection of food which mainly comprised of staple chinese food in a standard menu, with a few that you would find in yum cha (shu mai). Though it is advertised to be 'unlimited', it was in fact, limited (when we asked for more, they say yes and never brought it out despite following up a few more times). The 'unlimited yum cha' is basically a $40 banquet where the food served are just small samples of a typical menu. Most dishes are good, but overall we feel it is not worth $40 at all as food was limited (I feel it is wrongly advertised), and paced throughout the session. And there's card charges at the end too so if you do not pay by cash, you'll be hit with a little extra.

Simple, clean decor, friendly, helpful and attentive staff and amazing modern Chinese food. Perfect spot for a catchup dinner, I will most certainly be back to try their weekend yum cha!

Great atmosphere and friendly service but taken for a ride. Asked for tap water twice. However at the end of the night had to pay $13.00 for 2 small bottles of water. Paid $28 for a small plate of wilted spinach because it was the 'special'. Be warned - ask to see the specials listed as they can charge what they like for specials. Every special (which was not that special) was $10 more than the meals on the menu. Disappointing and they've lost a customer. What they made on the night, they've lost in the long run as wont recommend and wont go back.

It has evolved ..... in a good way, no lazy Susan revolving anywhere.

It has evolved since 1989, a few off shoots all over Melbourne; CBD, Chadstone and Chapel St.

Renovated, good taste, classic post-modern Oriental, very cozy inside, casual, relax, none of that Chinese restaurant "rush" feeling.

Food wise, we went for the Monday Pork Feast $62 x 2 for the 5 of us .... Shanghai Pork Belly was the highlight easily.

Must commend on their presentation and fantastic service from this new generation Australian Chinese, albeit one, he probably wasn't having a good night.

Great to see their new spin of Chinese food brand ... definitely got potential, don't look for that lazy Susan on any table.
