Don't bother if you need urgent assistance without an appointment. I attended the Invermay center at 8-45am on a Friday. I wanted to see a doctor to get some pain relief for a suspected broken rib. There were NO other patients in the waiting room. I informed the staff that I needed pain relief. They know I am a regular patient BUT I was told that the earliest I could be seen was 3-15pm. OR I could go to the Launceston Hospital. Frankly, as this was a semi-urgent matter I think that this "service" was less than second rate. With no other patients in the waiting room one would have thought that under the circumstances, they could have alerted the Doctor.
