I had a pizza in the restaurant. Very friendly waitress. Tasty pizza. Maybe a bit small but it was only 17 bucks for a restaurant meal is pretty cheap(ish) Loads of parking at the rear. Loved it I'll be back for more my next visit in Hobart

Ben and Bec are legends! This is one of the oldest running hotels in Sandy bay, the previous owner went bankrupt and Ben came into to save the Hotel and keep it running. It’s still alive and kicking only difference is the service is incredible, beer selection better and food is finally of a caliber you’d expect when it comes to a classic pub like this. Keep up the good work guys! I’ll be back for a nice crispy larger soon!

Freshly refurbished pub with a nice atmosphere. Great food and good selection of beers. They had plenty of different sport on the tv's too. Shame we didn't find it earlier.

The room was quite nice both in space and quality, especially for the price we paid. Bed was very comfortable. The staff we spoke to were quite nice and helpful. That said rooms are just atop the Doctor Syntax sport bar, which is nice, but when you need to sleep is not a great selling point. The music could be heard heard easily until around midnight.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Hobart. Service is great. Staff friendly. Accommodates all ages. Keno. Ubet. Great food and wine.
