Had a lovely meal here. Nice atmosphere and within a reasonable price range. I don't know what it says but the Belles pickles was the standout menu item. Lovely little pieces all pickled differently. Sweet, spicy, complex flavours... I had the Fried Chicken Kimchi burger which came off as a super yummy chicken and coleslaw burger. The disappointment was in a) no detectable kimchi flavour and b) no detectable kimchi spice. This is a pity, as I love the flavour profile of kimchis and this could have escalated the experience beyond! Also the Belles Cheeseburger was a good burger but the bun ever so slightly burnt.
We ordered the cauliflour nuggets which were fine but I was left wanting here as well. The coating was very understated in flavour, perhaps due to presence of dipping sauce, which brings me to main pain point. It was served with (I want to say) a tahini dipping sauce except it was not a sauce consistency. More like peanut butter smear. So it was a bit tough to actually dip. Perhaps it was only meant as a spread... who knows. But on flavour it didn't provide a great accompaniment for me personally. I would have preferred something a but lighter, more tangy, spicier sweeter even.
The staff were so lovely and friendly and it is a real testament to the quality that I felt, despite wanting many tweaks, happy with my meal. Just...you know when you can identify so easily how it could hace been a knock out it's almost tougher to accept than a straight up bomber of an experience because perfection was so much closer within reach? Gahh! But kimchi burger definitely needs to boost it's kimchiness. In my opinion. X

Nice little cafe for burgers and sandwiches, with a slight Asian fusion twist. Fried chicken burger ($15) was excellent. Kids menu available. Convenient and scenic waterfront location. Amex not accepted.

Laid back but classy atmosphere. Always good specials on the menu and some of the best burgers around. Highly recommended!
