We had a great experience with the team from Aussie Trax. They were professional yet down to earth and went above and beyond to ensure that the vehicle that we hired was comfortable and that we were educated enough to confidently drive on the Island to avoid any issues. Very reliable and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to hire a trustworthy truck to get them about!

Our first thought when going to fraser was to book a trio with the buses but some friends recommended renting a 4x4. It was without a doubt a very good recomendation and everything from driving in rough terain, driving on the beach and experiensin the beauties of fraser Island in our own tempo was amazing. The staff was also very friendly and easy to contact when was was needed

Very rough and old trucks but they will get you there and back. The lobby and crash course video could use a big refresh.

We are absolutely buzzing after an amazing two days on Fraser Island! The Aussie Trax Team provided us with everything we needed to make this an unforgettable experience.
Communication was excellent in the lead up to the trip, responding quickly to the request and our questions.
On arrival at the office they were so welcoming and gave a clear briefing on Fraser Island and the operation of the 4x4 vehicle. They gave us itineraries, maps and all the camping equipment we needed. This was the first time either of us had done something like this but the Aussie Trax team made us feel really supported and that they would be there to help should anything go wrong. They seem to take real pride in the vehicles and making sure they are safe but they totally understand the toll that driving on Fraser takes on them.
When we were on the island we saw lots of bus tour groups being ushered around on a tight timetable, all visiting the same busy attractions, we were so glad that we'd opted for a self drive option allowing us to go off and explore wherever and whenever! There are some real gems on the island if you look for them!
Sleeping on the beach was a real highlight too! We would highly recommend Aussie Trax!
