Even for a quiet morning coffee this place scores well. A couple of tables are outside on nice days and the staff are happy to serve.

Beautiful library/bookshop themed cafe with the best fry-up breakfast in Canberra. $25 gets you an enormous plate of black pudding, thick smoky bacon, a roast portabello mushroom, grilled tomato, fried eggs, sourdough toast, chipotle pork sausage and house-baked beans- all of it delicious. Great service, great relaxed atmosphere and great food. Prices at the high end, but good value all considered.

This place is like nowhere else in Canberra... wonderful food and wine, relaxed vibe and friendly staff... and those fascinating literary events!! Absolutely unique and brilliant.
