Ordered as a group. Everyone received there meals separately. Entrees were received with mains. Fish was inedible. Appalling will never go back.

The restaurant part has nice decor and the food was tasty but the waitress who took our orders seemed quite confused and pretty out of it. She eventually got our order right, however starters ended out coming out the same time as the mains which was a bit of a shame. Made for a quick meal though so always a silver lining I guess.

you bring the food to our outdoor dining table on the footpath, bring cutlery, and half way through our finished lunch you tell us that we cant sit there because dogs aren't allowed. and they are the rules - i didn't know that byron council property belongs to your establishment? mind you we eat there every week but today mustn't have been a good day for your ride management

I have been to The Northern on many different occasions. Sometimes to have a bevvy out on the front patio, sometimes for a beer inside, sometimes for concerts, and other times for a night out.
The only time I ever really felt like I had a GREAT time was because of the band I went to see. Which is hardly credit to the Northern at all. All other times have been so inconsistent with service and general vibe that I never felt inclined to write a review.
Having said that, last night I had the most atrocious experience here, that I likely won't ever return. The 2 men operating the main doors were insanely rude, abbrassive and downright bad for business. Outdated, power tripping, white trash. At its finest.
Not cool. Not good for business.
