We recently held our daughter's 21st Birthday party in the Verandah Room at the Fox Hotel. Perfect venue for a party of 50. Our daughter's food allergies were catered for with some slight adjustments to the menu and careful attention to detail by our event co-ordinators, Pascale and Cara. On the big night we had Annie looking after us, along with Cam and Ripley in the bar. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the three of them did a brilliant job, even at the very end when poor Cam had to nicely kick everyone out. No one wanted to go home and a fabulous evening was had by all. If there was anything negative at all about the event (and I hate to say this because I was so happy with everything else), it was that the food was RIDICULOUSLY expensive for the items served and quantities. While I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to others, I would suggest they eat beforehand because many of our guests went hungry. I thought $500 worth would be enough finger food for 50 people but it barely touched the sides. This was grossly out of proportion to the value of the beverages package. Having said that, the food we did get was very good.

Great view of the city it says. Humm well could be a bit better, was a view of the train tracks, staff was efficient but could have a bit more personality. Awesome venue and music was great!

The Fox Hotel tried to be "fancy" for the Melbourne Cup by charging $50 for lunch and three drinks. However, lunch was a tiny bit of cauliflower and a handful of nuts. The three drinks were only the cheap beers which taste like piss. They didn't give you the good beers. Nice try Fox Hotel but at the end of the day you just cant polish a turd and that's exactly what you are. Absolutely f'ing disgusting.

Okay food, mildly unhappy staff, error with our order and $15 for a pint?!
It's would have been nice enough if not for that pint price. That's ridiculous.

Absolutely love the happy hour pizza and burger! Such a steal! The atmosphere is really good for groups too, you can just chill and hang out with your friends all night long. We booked via OpenTable and they reserved a really good table for us. Plus the staff is really friendly and provide very honest recommendation 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
