40 years of visiting Monty's, 15+ Taringa, but it has changed. Lovely waiters, but understaffed, much smaller serves, meals badly timed, salad up to par but guacamole was browning, must have sat too long. Sangria is rubbish, used to be a highlight. Date cake still kicks ass.

We were there two times and never will come again.
First time we were waiting for menu for 20 mins and for food for another 45. They apologised on the end and it was ok.
But second time was really bad experience.
We had fist dish with one fork only and asked them to bring second fork to share the dish. The guy we asked for was walking around for while and came to us later to explain that second fork will arrive with second dish!!!
That is really silly. But worst was dessert he brought to us which was looking exactly as someone was already eating from there. I felt sick looking at that small dirty plate with coconut cream, but guy was pretending as everything ok.
Very bad.

Terrible food. Tasted like it was mostly out of a tin or else Guzman Y Gomez left overs. Staff was quite rude and it wasn't even busy. Way over priced for the portion sizes and not worth it for an acidic tomato paste that was described at garlic prawns... Guzman is much more authentic and much more appropriate on pricing. Even Doritos taste more Mexican.
