Started off as a refreshing alternative to the very mainstream cocktail scene in BA, but the trend it started years ago seems to be it's undoing, as it has fallen behind other bars which are either cheaper, trendier or just less of a tourist trap.
The drinks are actually well prepared, but the selection of spirits is not what one would expect of such a renowned establishment.

Great looking bar. I made reservations for dinner a few days in advance, they called that day to confirm and give me the password. When we got there they had the table ready and waiting upstairs. After you say the password of the day you gotta go through a phone booth and dial a code, i thought that was fun. The food was really good, i had a wonderful causa limeña. My only complaints is that they had only one waitress working upstairs and she was extremely overwhelmed, and they charged us for table service but we did not get water or bread.

I felt like I was at a very pretentious club in West London with a mixture of posh rich clientele and a bus of older tourists (we got there just after their bus arrived and had to wait outside for them all to filter in). After trying to work out what the stone faced doorman needed for us to be let in we went inside and found a small table at the back - there didn't seem to be table service so my boyfriend went up to the bar. I was then approached by a member of staff that told me bluntly she needed the table, not even an apology or that she would try to seat me elsewhere. So, back standing at the bar and we were finally served, we stood there a while drinking our cocktails while the people from the bus kept bumping into us. After experiencing most of the cocktail bars in the area this has got to be the worst. Maybe if you throw some cash about and make a fuss you'll have a fabulous time but it wasn't for me.

Great speakeasy bar. Great looking place, very friendly staffs and beautiful cocktails although they are more expensive than the average.
